ARTICLE 1 – Purpose and scope

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all sales concluded between:

Any order placed on the website constitutes full and complete acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

The website www.manmori.com is operated by Bernard Saligné under the trade name MANMORI.

ARTICLE 2 – Products offered

The products offered for sale on www.manmori.com are described as accurately as possible.

Photographs, illustrations and product descriptions are intended to provide a faithful representation of the products. However, they cannot guarantee an exact reproduction due to the handcrafted nature of the manufacturing process and the natural characteristics of the materials used.

MANMORI weapons are handcrafted in our workshop located in the Périgord region of France, using carefully selected woods.


ARTICLE 3 – Characteristics of handcrafted products

Because they are made from natural wood, each MANMORI product is unique.

Slight variations may occur from one piece to another, including:

  • wood colour;
  • grain pattern;
  • weight;
  • dimensions;
  • overall balance;
  • finish.

These variations are inherent to natural materials and handcrafted production and shall not be considered manufacturing defects.

The dimensions and weights indicated on product pages are provided for guidance only. Minor variations may occur due to the natural density of wood.


ARTICLE 4 – Orders

The customer selects the products they wish to purchase and validates their order after checking the contents of their cart.

Before final confirmation, the customer must:

  • provide the information required for delivery;
  • select a payment method;
  • accept these Terms and Conditions of Sale.

Validation of the order constitutes acceptance of the prices, product characteristics and these Terms and Conditions.

An order confirmation email will be sent to the customer.

The sale is considered concluded once MANMORI confirms the order.

MANMORI reserves the right to refuse an order in the event of exceptional unavailability, an obvious pricing error, or particular difficulties in manufacturing the product.


ARTICLE 5 – Customised products

Some products may be customised, particularly through engraving or personal inscriptions.

The customer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided for personalisation.

Customised products cannot be returned or exchanged unless a manufacturing defect is identified.

In accordance with Article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, products made according to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised products are not subject to the right of withdrawal.


ARTICLE 6 – Prices and payment

Prices displayed on the website are stated in euros.

Shipping costs are indicated separately before final confirmation of the order.

Payment can be made by:

  • bank card;
  • PayPal;
  • bank transfer.

Orders are prepared once payment has been confirmed.


ARTICLE 7 – Manufacturing and lead times

Products available in stock will be prepared and shipped as soon as possible.

Some products are handcrafted to order and require a manufacturing period.

The lead times indicated on the website are approximate and may vary depending on:

  • workshop workload;
  • availability of raw materials;
  • holiday periods;
  • transport constraints.

MANMORI will inform the customer in the event of a significant delay.


ARTICLE 8 – Delivery

Products are shipped to the address provided by the customer during the ordering process.

Shipments are made using carriers suitable for the dimensions of the products.

The customer must check the condition of the package upon delivery.

In the event of visible damage during transport, the customer must make the appropriate reservations with the carrier in accordance with applicable regulations.


ARTICLE 9 – Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Articles L221-18 and following of the French Consumer Code, consumers have a period of fourteen days from receipt of the product to exercise their right of withdrawal.

The product must be returned complete, unused and in its original condition.

Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the customer.

Refunds will be issued after receipt and inspection of the returned product.

This right does not apply to customised products or products made according to the customer’s specifications.


ARTICLE 10 – Legal guarantees

Products are covered by:

  • the legal guarantee of conformity provided for by Articles L217-3 and following of the French Consumer Code;
  • the guarantee against hidden defects provided for by Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code.

These guarantees do not cover:

  • normal wear and tear;
  • damage caused by lack of maintenance;
  • improper use;
  • impacts or accidents occurring during practice.

ARTICLE 11 – Maintenance and use of weapons

The wooden weapons offered by MANMORI are intended exclusively for martial arts practice.

They must be used in appropriate conditions and under the user’s responsibility.

Regular maintenance is recommended in order to preserve their mechanical and aesthetic qualities.

MANMORI cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from improper storage, prolonged exposure to humidity or heat, or inappropriate use.


ARTICLE 12 – Liability

MANMORI cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from:

  • incorrect use of products;
  • use contrary to their intended purpose;
  • events beyond its control, including force majeure, transport disruptions or computer-related issues.

ARTICLE 13 – Personal data

Personal data collected during the ordering process is necessary for the processing of purchases, product delivery and the management of the commercial relationship.

MANMORI undertakes to process this data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the applicable French regulations regarding the protection of personal data.

The customer has the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability concerning their personal data, where these rights apply.

ARTICLE 14 – Intellectual property

All elements appearing on www.manmori.com, including:

  • texts;
  • photographs;
  • illustrations;
  • logos;
  • product descriptions;

are the exclusive property of MANMORI.

Any reproduction or use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.


ARTICLE 15 – Mediation and dispute resolution

In the event of a problem, customers are invited to contact MANMORI first in order to seek an amicable solution.

In accordance with French consumer law, consumers may use a consumer mediation service free of charge.

The details of the appointed mediator will be provided once MANMORI has joined an approved mediation scheme.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.
